Saint and Virtue of the Week: St. Katharine Drexel and Generosity
This website has been created for Catholic families everywhere to use and enjoy. We offer ideas, resources, favorite books and website for you to gather inspiration and wisdom.
Our first project is the Saint of the Week Program that we have developed for our Catholic School. Feel free to use this program in your own Catholic School and alter it as you see fit.A saint and virtue has been chose for each week, a brief description, picture and short prayer is included. The descriptions may need to be augmented or simplified depending on the grade level.
Another wonderful part of Catholic Family Life is living out the liturgical year in the home. We are the Domestic Church! And the Church calls us to the the first and primary educators of our children, especially in matters of our Catholic Faith. We provide suggestions for living out the Liturgical Year in the home. There are crafts, activites, recipes, prayers, book suggestions and more.
Have Ideas You'd Like to Share? Please send them in!
If
you have ideas you'd like to share with our editors, feel free to email
us at editor@catholicfamiliestoday.com.
It is our desire to make this website a compilation of wisdom from many
Catholic families from around the country (or beyond). We are the Body of
Christ and together we can encourage, inspire and motivate each other to
live out our faith in our homes, schools and communities. So, no matter
how small or simple, if you think you have an idea to share, or a great
link, please submit it to our editors. We
would love to give you credit for your submission!
Faith Enrichment for Catholic Schools
The impetus for this website has been my involvement in our local Catholic School, St. Joseph Catholic School in Bryan, Texas. We have put together a Faith Enrichment Group that serves to assist the religious education curriculum by providing additional Catholic activities for the school children. These might include the Saint of the Week Program, Feast Day celebrations, Prayer Services, School Rosaries, and more.
